Crystal R. Sims

Crystal R. Sims is a partner at Henderson Banks Law in Chicago whose practice includes personal injury and employment law. She represents people in matters involving medical malpractice, automobile negligence, premises liability, product liability, employment discrimination, wrongful termination, and sexual harassment. Her work includes litigation for injured clients and employees whose claims require investigation, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy. She has practiced in Illinois since 2019 and is also licensed in Wisconsin.

Crystal earned dual B.A. degrees in Criminal Justice and Political Science, with a concentration in Law, from the University of Wisconsin–Parkside. She later earned her J.D. from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law. During law school, she clerked for a national corporate defense law firm and a mid-sized personal injury firm. Those roles gave her early exposure to personal injury litigation from different sides of disputed claims.

Crystal focuses much of her work on plaintiff-side personal injury matters while maintaining a significant employment litigation practice. Her injury work includes automobile negligence, medical malpractice, premises liability, product liability, and other accident claims. Her employment matters include discrimination, wrongful termination, sexual harassment, retaliation, wage-and-hour issues, and related workplace disputes. She has built her practice around representing individuals rather than limiting her work to a single category of civil litigation.

Crystal R. Sims is a founding member of the Chicago Lawyers Collective and is affiliated with the Chicago Bar Association, Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, and Illinois State Bar Association. She has received Illinois Rising Stars recognition beginning in 2024. Her current work combines personal injury advocacy, employee-side employment litigation, and professional involvement in the Chicago legal community while representing clients in state and federal legal matters.
