About
Holly Stephens is an associate attorney in McArthur Law Firm’s Atlanta office who represents individuals and families in complex personal injury and wrongful death matters. Her practice focuses on medical negligence, motor vehicle collisions, and trucking accidents. She brings substantial courtroom experience from criminal defense work and applies that advocacy background to civil injury cases requiring careful factual development, persuasive presentation, and attentive client service during serious and difficult circumstances.
Stephens earned her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2016 and received her Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2021. In law school, she gained practical experience through the Jane W. Wilson Family Justice Clinic and Criminal Defense Practicum. Judicial internships in Georgia state and federal courts strengthened her understanding of litigation procedure and judicial decision-making.
Stephens worked for two years in the Texas State Senate before law school and later served as an Assistant Public Defender in Brunswick, Georgia. As a public defender, she represented hundreds of clients in criminal cases and developed extensive courtroom experience. She now applies those advocacy skills to civil matters involving serious injuries and wrongful death, including claims connected to medical negligence, vehicle collisions, and trucking accidents.
Holly Stephens was selected as a Super Lawyers Rising Star for 2025 and received the State Bar of Georgia Young Lawyers Division Award for Outstanding Service to the Profession for the 2024-2025 bar year. She has served as Co-Chair of the Young Lawyers Division Litigation Committee and graduated from its Leadership Academy. Her memberships include the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, Atlanta Bar Association, and American Bar Association.
