Courtney L. Henson is a litigation lawyer and partner at Snell & Wilmer L.L.P., whose practice primarily focuses on insurance bad faith defense, complex commercial litigation, class actions, and business lawsuits and disputes. She represents institutional clients and individuals in significant civil matters. Her experience includes contract disputes, construction litigation, business separation conflicts, financial services litigation, and pre-litigation dispute resolution. She has defended national class actions and handled trade secret, corporate veil, and insurance-related disputes.
Courtney earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law. She was elected to the Order of the Coif and served as Articles Editor of the Arizona Law Review. She earned her B.A. in Political Science, cum laude, from Georgia State University. She later completed the Women and Power executive education program at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government.
Courtney represents companies and individuals in disputes involving contracts, class actions, construction matters, business separations, and insurance claims. Her representative experience includes defending a multimillion-dollar trade secret claim through summary judgment. She has represented plaintiffs and defendants in alter ego and corporate veil cases. Earlier in her career, she served as a judicial law clerk in the Criminal Division of the Arizona Superior Court.
Courtney L. Henson is admitted in Arizona and before the Arizona Supreme Court and US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She serves as managing partner of the Tucson office and belongs to the firm’s expanded Executive Committee. She has further received professional awards for pro bono work and community involvement.
