Courtney B. Kramer

Courtney B. Kramer is a partner at SGR, LLC, and a skilled attorney who has spent her entire career defending public entities. Since joining the firm as a law clerk in 2006 and becoming an attorney in 2008, she has focused her practice on helping school districts, counties, cities, and government workers with legal issues in both state and federal courts.

Ms. Kramer earned her B.A. from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2005, graduating magna cum laude with distinction. She then received her J.D. from the University of Colorado in 2008. While in law school, she worked as a legal and judicial intern, competed on the Moot Court team, and served as editor for a law journal.

Ms. Kramer is a civil rights and constitutional law attorney who defends clients in employment disputes and tort claims, including premises liability. She represents individuals and businesses in investigations before the EEOC, the Office for Civil Rights, and the Colorado Civil Rights Division. Her practice focuses on defending against claims of workplace discrimination, unlawful retaliation, and violations of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Ms. Kramer has tried jury cases and argued appeals in both state and federal court. She has won many complex cases involving immunity laws and public school policies. Her work includes victories in lawsuits related to school safety, excessive force, ADA violations, and wrongful termination.
