Corey Bruning

Corey Bruning is a co-founder of Bruning & Lewis Law Firm, PLLC in Flandreau, South Dakota. He maintains a general law practice with primary emphasis on estate planning, wills and trusts, contracts, family law, and civil litigation. Corey assists individuals, families, and businesses with planning documents, agreements, disputes, and other legal matters that require practical guidance and careful attention to long-term goals.

Corey earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Economics from the University of South Dakota. He later returned to the university and completed both a Master of Business Administration and a Juris Doctor with High Honors. In law school, he competed nationally on the trial team, received the Roy K. Reitz Award and M. Plin Beebe Scholarship, and earned CALI Awards in Contracts I, Contracts II, and Wills and Trusts.

Before becoming an attorney, Corey spent nine years working in financial services, experience that provides useful perspective on business, contracts, assets, and long-term planning. He also gained legal experience as an intern with the Janklow Law Firm. After law school, he opened a solo practice and later joined Paul Lewis to form Bruning & Lewis. His work includes estate planning, contract matters, family law concerns, and civil disputes.
