Colby Vogt

Colby Vogt is a founding partner of Allred Vogt & Stuart in Salt Lake City and focuses exclusively on personal injury litigation. Colby handles auto accidents, semi-truck accidents, bicycle accidents, construction accidents, severe injuries, and wrongful death matters. He has taken numerous cases to trial and obtained favorable jury verdicts. His practice is centered on representing injured people in claims involving negligent conduct and substantial physical or financial harm.

Colby earned a J.D. with Honors from the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law in 2011. He served as Articles Editor of the Utah Environmental Law Review and received academic awards and a merit scholarship. He earned a B.A. in Political Science from Weber State University in 2008, where he was on the Dean’s List and participated in the mock trial team. He is admitted in Utah state and federal court.

Colby previously managed litigation for a large multi-state personal injury firm and resolved hundreds of injury cases involving vehicle crashes, dog attacks, premises incidents, construction accidents, and other negligence claims. Earlier in his career, he worked at Snell & Wilmer and Jones Waldo and served in a senior attorney role for a Fortune 500 insurance company. That defense-side and corporate experience informs his evaluation of insurer strategies and contested personal injury claims.

Colby Vogt has been named among Utah Business Magazine’s Legal Elite on multiple occasions and has taught continuing legal education courses for the National Business Institute. Colby has also been published in The Enterprise, Utah’s Business Journal. His combination of trial work, insurance experience, large-firm training, and personal injury litigation supports clients pursuing compensation after serious accidents, construction incidents, vehicle collisions, and wrongful death.
