About
Clayton Craighead is a Houston employment attorney who represents employees and employers in workplace disputes. His work covers discrimination, family and medical leave, retaliation, unpaid wages, noncompete agreements, and other employment issues. He has represented individuals and large corporations in Texas state and federal courts and in arbitration. His practice involves examining employment records, assessing claims, and developing a response suited to the facts and legal obligations involved.
Clayton earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Computer Information Systems from Texas State University in December 2001. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Houston Law Center in 2008, where he participated in both the Mock Trial and Moot Court teams. His undergraduate training provides a foundation for analyzing compensation, records, and workplace systems, while his legal education developed skills relevant to litigation, advocacy, and resolving contested employment matters.
Clayton has handled employment matters on both sides of a dispute. He represented an employee in a discrimination case and another in a Family and Medical Leave Act matter, both resolved in the employees’ favor. His employer-side work includes obtaining summary judgment for DISH Network in an Americans with Disabilities Act case, a favorable judgment in a leave case, and dismissals in employment cases involving Jacobs Engineering and Verizon. He has also represented employers in noncompete disputes and employees in workers’ compensation-related matters.
Clayton Craighead is admitted to the State Bar of Texas and all four federal district courts in Texas. His experience representing both individual workers and businesses gives him insight into the arguments, evidence, and expectations on each side of an employment case. He uses that perspective in negotiations, litigation, and arbitration, focusing on the specific legal issues presented by discrimination claims, protected leave disputes, wage questions, and workplace agreements. His court admissions support representation across Texas in a variety of employment disputes.
