Cierra N. Norris

Cierra N. Norris is the founder and principal attorney at C. Norris Law Group, a Chicago-based criminal defense firm built on a mission of social justice. She represents clients with empathy, strategic skill, and a relentless drive to protect their rights while confronting the systemic issues of mass incarceration and inequality.

Attorney Norris earned her J.D. from DePaul University College of Law, where she served as Student Bar Association Supreme Court Justice and participated in the Black Law Student Association Mock Trial Team. She also holds a B.A. in Political Science and Public Relations from Baldwin Wallace University, graduating with multiple honors including membership in Pi Sigma Alpha and the Dayton C. Miller Honor Society.

Since founding her practice in 2017 at the age of 27, Cierra N. Norris has earned a reputation for fearless advocacy and results-driven representation. She has successfully litigated numerous high-stakes criminal cases and made headlines for helping free nearly a dozen inmates from Cook County Jail during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Prior to launching her firm, Attorney Norris gained valuable legal experience through positions with the City of Chicago’s Public Defender Office, Cabrini Green Legal Aid, and as a judicial extern to the Honorable Judge Victoria A. Roberts. These roles shaped her understanding of justice and deepened her resolve to make the legal system more equitable.
