Cordt earned his Bachelor of Science from Tulane University in 2009 and his Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law in 2012. During law school, he clerked for the 1st Court of Appeals Chief Justice and distinguished himself in trial advocacy. He was inducted into the Order of Barristers, received the Dean’s Advocacy Award, was named Best Overall Advocate, and was voted Most Outstanding Graduate by his peers.
Cordt launched his legal career at the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, where he prosecuted felony, misdemeanor, and juvenile cases and quickly advanced into leadership roles. After serving as a prosecutor, he moved into private practice, representing high-profile clients such as judges, physicians, professional athletes, and public officials. Today, he is nationally recognized for his work in white-collar criminal defense, environmental crime, and complex narcotics cases.
