Christopher Brown

Christopher Brown is a criminal defense attorney and founder of Brown & Associates, Legal Services, PLLC, in Troy, Michigan. He represents clients charged with criminal offenses in Oakland, Wayne, and surrounding counties. Before practicing law, he worked as a police officer in Detroit and a suburban department. His law enforcement background informs his examination of police investigations, the collection of evidence, and the procedures that can affect a criminal case.

Christopher earned a B.S. summa cum laude from Madonna University in 2004 and a J.D. from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2007. In law school, he received the American Jurisprudence Award in Police Civil Liability. He also completed an externship with the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office felony trial division. This training built on his earlier graduation from the Detroit Police Academy and experience working as an officer.

Christopher founded his private practice in 2008 to concentrate on criminal defense. For more than a decade, he has also served as assigned counsel in Oakland and Wayne County Circuit Courts, representing people accused of felony offenses who could not afford private counsel. He uses his knowledge of investigative techniques to review police reports, test the strength of evidence, and evaluate whether constitutional and procedural requirements were followed.

Christopher Brown’s earlier police service included three commendation awards and a nomination for Police Officer of the Year. His experience on both sides of the criminal justice process gives him a detailed understanding of how allegations are investigated and challenged. He applies that perspective to case preparation and courtroom advocacy, aiming to protect clients’ rights while examining the prosecution’s evidence closely.
