About
Christopher B. Rottler is a founding partner of Community Lawyers of Iowa, PLC, where he focuses his practice on immigration and civil law. With more than a decade of experience, he has dedicated his career to providing accessible, high-quality legal services, ensuring that individuals and families receive strong representation in complex matters.
Christopher earned his Bachelor of Arts from Goddard College in 2000 before pursuing his legal education at the City University of New York (CUNY) School of Law, where he received his Juris Doctor in 2006. He was admitted to the Iowa State Bar that same year, later passing the New York Bar in 2007 and gaining admission to the U.S. Federal Tax Court in 2009.
Before co-founding Community Lawyers of Iowa in 2014, Christopher gained significant experience in public interest law. He served as a staff attorney with Iowa Legal Aid from 2007 to 2014, representing clients in a wide range of legal issues. Earlier, he worked in New York with the Community Legal Resource Network’s Citizenship and Immigration Project, where he strengthened his focus on immigration law and advocacy for vulnerable populations.
At Community Lawyers of Iowa, Christopher provides comprehensive legal services with a strong emphasis on immigration matters. He assists clients with citizenship, visas, and removal defense, while also handling civil law cases that impact families and communities.
