Christie Guerrero

Christie Guerrero is a board-certified marital and family law attorney in Florida known for her legal insight, client advocacy, and deep commitment to families. She brings extensive courtroom and investigative experience, making her an exceptional advocate in complex family matters, including dependency, custody, and adoption proceedings.

Christie began her academic journey at the University of Florida, where she focused on family, youth, and community sciences. She then earned her Juris Doctor degree from Florida Coastal School of Law, graduating Magna Cum Laude and at the top of her class. During law school, she contributed as a Law Review editor, competed on the nationally ranked Moot Court team, and was a member of the Phi Delta Phi honors fraternity.

Christie’s legal foundation is rooted in hands-on experience. Before practicing law, she worked with the Department of Children and Families as a Child Protective Investigator. She also served as a Guardian Ad Litem, ensuring children’s voices were heard in legal matters. Additionally, her work as a federal clerk and appellate intern refined her skills in legal research and writing.

She earned the “Leader in the Law” award in 2015 from the Florida Association of Women Lawyers and was named a Rising Star Super Lawyer three years in a row. In 2019, she was honored in the “Top 10 Under 40” by the National Academy of Family Law Attorneys and was named Best Lawyer in Jacksonville during the Rainbow Awards Ceremony.
