Christian W. Waugh

Christian W. Waugh is the founder and an attorney at Waugh PLLC. His practice includes real estate law, litigation, probate, appeals, municipal law, and a broad range of business law matters in state and federal courts. He is Board Certified by The Florida Bar in both Real Estate Law and City, County, and Local Government Law. He also counsels clients on commercial transactions, development matters, contracts, closings, and related disputes statewide.

Christian earned his J.D. from the University of Florida, Levin College of Law, in 2008. He received his B.A./A.A. with Honors from the University of Florida in 2004. He later earned an M.A. in 2018 through the University of Florida, Hough School of Business and Chinese University of Hong Kong. His education reflects substantial study in law, business, economics, and international financial matters relevant to his broad legal practice.

Christian represents clients in probate, commercial, real estate, and other civil litigation, including matters involving federal agencies such as the SEC and CFTC. He has handled several dozen trials, primarily jury trials, in state and federal courts, as well as appeals throughout Florida’s appellate courts, including the Florida Supreme Court. His transactional work includes commercial closings, development agreements, powers of attorney, interlocal agreements, land use matters, and permitting issues statewide.

Christian W. Waugh also advises local governments and handles municipal and administrative law matters. He serves as Town Attorney for Hilliard, City Attorney for Clermont and Oak Hill, Assistant Town Attorney for Callahan, and Special Master for Citrus County Code Enforcement. He is a Commissioner of the Ninth Judicial Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission and belongs to the Federal Bar Association, Cuban American Bar Association, and several county bar associations across Florida.
