Avery Dyen

Avery Dyen is an Associate Attorney at Waugh PLLC, where she focuses on litigation, real estate law, and government law. She is licensed to practice in Florida and brings experience in case analysis, legal research, strategic planning, and client advocacy. Before joining this law firm in 2024, she began her legal career at an insurance defense law firm, giving her additional perspective on complex disputes and litigation strategy across varied legal matters.

Avery earned her J.D., cum laude, from Florida State University College of Law in 2022, where she attended on the Garnet and Gold full merit-based scholarship. She received her B.A. in Art History, magna cum laude, from the University of South Florida in 2019, with minors in history and psychology. Her academic background reflects strong preparation in legal analysis, research, writing, interdisciplinary study, and professional legal work in practice today.

Avery strengthened her advocacy and research skills through the Trial Team, Florida State University Law Review, Florida State University Business Review, and Business Law Clinic during law school. In summer 2020, she interned for Judge Weiss in the Civil Division of Florida’s Ninth Judicial Circuit Court. She also worked as a law clerk in Tallahassee, researching complex matters involving construction, trusts and estates, bankruptcy, and land use issues for clients.
