Christian Stegmaier

Christian Stegmaier serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Collins & Lacy, bringing nearly 25 years of experience to his leadership and legal practice. Known for his steady command of complex matters, he advises clients across the retail, hospitality, and entertainment industries, focusing on practical, results-driven counsel.

Christian earned his J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law, along with an M.P.H. in Public Health Administration and a B.A. in Political Science from the same institution. He also completed postgraduate coursework at the University of California, Los Angeles, broadening his academic perspective.

Christian’s practice centers on defending claims involving premises liability, loss prevention, food-related issues, and third-party torts. He is widely regarded for his work in alcohol liability litigation and for handling complex business disputes, insurance coverage matters, and bad-faith claims for major national insurers.

Early in his career, Christian clerked for The Honorable Ralph King Anderson, Jr., a clerkship that helped shape his strong appellate foundation. He has appeared numerous times before appellate courts, where his careful preparation and clear advocacy have earned respect from both clients and peers.
