Stephanie E. Kopalski

Stephanie E. Kopalski is a Partner at Lyons Law Group, LLC in Downers Grove, where she focuses on commercial litigation and business transactional matters. She represents clients in complex disputes and business operations, offering practical solutions while guiding companies and individuals through legal challenges with careful attention and clear communication.

Stephanie earned her Juris Doctor from DePaul University College of Law in 2016. She also holds a B.A. in Spanish and History, Cum Laude, from DePaul University. During law school, she worked as a legal research assistant, strengthening her skills in legal analysis and research.

Stephanie represents clients in a wide range of business disputes, including breach of contract, shareholder and partner disputes, breach of fiduciary duty, trade secrets, business torts, employment disputes, and fraud. She also handles estate and trust disputes, bringing strong litigation experience before trial and appellate courts.

Stephanie has appeared before the Illinois First District Appellate Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, and the Illinois Supreme Court. She approaches each case with care and focus, giving the same level of attention to detail in both smaller and larger matters to achieve effective results.

On the transactional side, Stephanie guides companies through all stages of the business life cycle, including formation, growth, and exit through merger, acquisition, or dissolution. She drafts key agreements and works on transactions ranging from smaller deals to those valued in the millions.

Stephanie began her career at Lyons Law Group as a law clerk in 2015 and became an Associate Attorney after passing the Illinois Bar in 2016. She became a Member of the firm in 2022. She is fluent in Polish and conversational in Spanish, which supports her communication with clients.

Stephanie E. Kopalski is active in the legal community and serves as the Second Vice President of the DuPage Association of Women Lawyers. She is also a member of the DuPage County Bar Association, which continues to support her professional growth and connections within the legal field.
