About

Chris Sanders is a highly accomplished attorney with a distinguished career spanning decades. Based in Kentucky, Chris focuses on employment law, class actions, and nonprofit advocacy, bringing a unique blend of legal expertise, strategy, and activism to his practice. A graduate of the University of Louisville School of Law (J.D., 1988), Chris also holds a Master of Divinity from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (1985) and a Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, from Georgetown College (1981).

Chris’s career is deeply rooted in the intersection of law, labor, faith, and politics. Early in his professional journey, he worked with labor unions, advocating for workers’ rights and forming lasting connections with elected officials. This experience fueled his passion for addressing systemic issues and promoting social justice. Chris went on to serve as an AFL-CIO officer and later opened his legal practice to focus on causes that unite communities and drive meaningful change.

Chris represents schools, churches, advocacy organizations, and coalitions, helping them navigate complex systemic and policy challenges. His employment law practice focuses on representing groups of workers in class action and collective lawsuits involving discrimination, unlawful labor practices, wage and hour violations, and workplace inequities. By resolving these high-impact cases, Chris not only secures justice and compensation for his clients, but also drives meaningful policy changes that improve workplace practices and help prevent future harm.

A dedicated community leader, Chris is a member of numerous professional and civic organizations, including Leadership Louisville Bingham Fellows and the American Constitution Society. He has also served as legal counsel for Jobs with Justice and Interfaith Worker Justice, championing labor and social justice on both local and national levels.

Chris Sanders is more than an attorney-he is a strategist, organizer, and advocate who uses his diverse skill set to empower individuals, strengthen organizations, and build equitable communities. His unwavering commitment to justice and collaboration defines his approach to the law and his impact on society.
