Chris O’Neal

Chris O’Neal is a civil rights lawyer and managing partner with experience in legal leadership, public service, and advocacy. He works to support justice for people whose rights have been affected and helps strengthen legal services across practice areas. His background includes work in law enforcement, prosecution, private practice, and firm management. That broad experience helps him understand complex systems, address serious legal issues, and guide clients through difficult matters with purpose.

Chris earned his J.D., with honors, from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2004. He also received his Bachelor’s degree from Florida State University in 1992. During law school, he held major leadership roles in student legal organizations and studied dispute resolution, commercial law, maritime law, and human rights law. His education gave him a strong base in advocacy, leadership, and legal analysis that continues to shape his work.

Before and during his legal career, Chris built experience that helps him serve people facing serious challenges. He worked for a decade as a sworn police officer, serving in patrol, investigations, recruiting, and training. He later practiced in private firms, the State Attorney’s Office, and as a solo practitioner. These roles deepened his understanding of justice systems and strengthened his commitment to helping marginalized individuals seek fair treatment and accountability under the law.

Chris O’Neal has also served in leadership and service roles within professional and community organizations. His work includes mentoring, training, and supporting pathways for others interested in law and public service. He has earned commendations for his service and contributed to legal and law enforcement education. Clients benefit from his broad perspective, disciplined approach, and strong commitment to justice. He remains focused on helping people navigate legal challenges with clarity and determined advocacy.
