M. Eric Olmstead

M. Eric Olmstead is an experienced civil litigator with more than 35 years of legal practice. He represents clients in business disputes, real estate matters, construction issues, employment law, and estate and trust litigation at Barney McKenna & Olmstead, P.C. His work focuses on solving problems with clear advice and strong advocacy. He helps business owners, property owners, employers, and families protect their rights and interests. Eric earned his J.D. from the University of Utah College of Law in 1987 and his B.S. from Weber State University in 1982. This education gave him a solid foundation for handling legal disputes, contracts, and business matters. His training supports his ability to explain legal issues clearly, evaluate risks, and guide clients through important decisions with confidence, clarity, and a practical approach every day.

Eric has built a career helping clients across many areas of law. He works with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and owners through contract drafting, bonding, liens, claims, and litigation. In real estate, he advises buyers, sellers, and developers on purchases, agreements, financing, planning matters, and related disputes.
