Chris Houk has been a dedicated Phoenix employment lawyer since 2005, advocating for the rights of Arizona’s workers, managers, and employers. He represents clients in various employment law cases, ranging from discrimination and wrongful termination to wage disputes, workplace harassment, and more. Chris has represented clients in cases as varied as small-town discrimination disputes and cases argued before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Chris earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Arizona in 1996. He then went on to earn his Juris Doctor from the Arizona State University Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law in 2000. This strong academic foundation has equipped him with the tools necessary to navigate complex employment law cases successfully.
Chris brings deep experience from his work in the Civil Rights Division of the Arizona Attorney General’s Office and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). This background gives him a strong command of Arizona employment law and the complexities of the legal system. With this broad, hands-on experience, Chris provides strategic, results-focused employment law counsel to both employers and employees.
In addition to his practice, Chris is an adjunct professor at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University, where he shares his expertise with law students. He is also an officer of the National Employment Lawyers Association, co-chair of the American Bar Association’s Labor & Employment Section, and a Fellow with the American Bar Foundation. His active participation in legal associations underscores his dedication to the field and to advancing the rights of employees.
Throughout his career, Chris Houk has received numerous honors, including the Dr. Charles R. Campbell Outstanding Alumnus Award and recognition as a top attorney in the field.
