Chirag V. Patel

Chirag V. Patel, Esq. is the Owner and Managing Attorney at the Patel Firm, where he offers over a decade of experience in immigration law. He focuses on both employment-based and family-based immigration, guiding individuals and businesses through complex legal processes, including visa petitions, removal defense, and federal immigration appeals.

Mr. Patel received his Juris Doctor from American University Washington College of Law in 1995. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs from the George Washington University Elliott School in 1992, with a concentration in international politics and business. His legal foundation includes internships with the Maryland Attorney General’s Office, the U.S. House of Representatives, the Federal Trade Commission, and the Food & Drug Administration.

Before dedicating his practice exclusively to immigration law, Mr. Patel built a strong litigation foundation in Baltimore, handling both criminal and civil cases. This courtroom experience gives him a strategic edge in complex immigration matters. He has extensive experience with employment-based and nonimmigrant visas, including B, E, H, L, J, O, and TN categories, as well as PERM Labor Certification, EB-1 Extraordinary Ability petitions, and National Interest Waivers (NIW).

Chirag V. Patel is admitted to practice in Maryland and the U.S. District Court of Maryland, and he appears before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. He is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and collaborates regularly with nonprofit organizations to assist underserved immigrant communities.
