About

Charles (“Chaz”) E. Remus II began his legal career building a strong foundation in high-stakes civil litigation and complex dispute work. Early on, he gained hands-on exposure to large-scale cases involving medical malpractice and environmental contamination. That experience shaped a practical, detail-driven approach focused on strategy, preparation, and results. He has since represented both individuals and companies in demanding legal matters across multiple jurisdictions.

Chaz earned his Bachelor of Science, summa cum laude, Honors College, from Towson University in 2010. He later completed his legal education at the University of Maryland School of Law, receiving his J.D., cum laude, in 2013. His academic training emphasized analytical reasoning, legal writing, and advocacy, skills that continue to guide his work in complex litigation and client counseling today.

Chaz has served as lead counsel in a wide range of business and civil litigation matters throughout the Mid-Atlantic and East Coast regions. His practice includes fiduciary and partnership disputes, fraud claims, real estate and property conflicts, construction litigation, business torts, defamation, and intellectual property litigation. He is also known for providing outside general counsel services, helping clients address legal risks before disputes escalate.

Chaz combines courtroom experience with proactive legal guidance. While he is prepared to litigate aggressively when required, he also works closely with business clients to reduce exposure and resolve issues early when possible. This balanced approach allows clients to protect assets, preserve relationships, and maintain operational stability while remaining prepared for trial if necessary.

Charles (“Chaz”) E. Remus II has received consistent professional recognition for his legal work. He has been selected as a Rising Star attorney in the State of Maryland by SuperLawyers Magazine for seven consecutive years from 2019 through 2025. He was also voted the Winner of the “Best Attorney” category in the Frederick News-Post’s “Best of the Best” Contest for four consecutive years, from 2021 through 2024, reflecting sustained peer and community recognition.
