Charles Ault-Duell is the founding partner of CAD Law, LC, in Salina, Kansas. His primary focus is representing families and children in domestic cases involving difficult parenting relationships, complex child custody questions, and financial issues. Charles also practices in family, criminal, and civil litigation and represents plaintiffs in personal injury matters. He established the firm in 2017 with an emphasis on accessible legal representation.
Charles graduated from Kansas Wesleyan University in 2005 with a triple-major in history, religion/philosophy, and criminal justice. He was Student Body President during his senior year. He later completed his JD at Washburn University School of Law in 2008. During law school, he clerked for Judge Sam A. Crow in Topeka, gaining experience with court work alongside his legal studies.
After law school, Charles clerked for Judge Patrick D. McAnany at the Kansas Court of Appeals. He returned to Salina in 2011 to work as an Assistant Saline County Attorney, where his experience included jury trials and appeals. He entered private practice in 2014. That background supports his current work in contested domestic cases, criminal matters, civil disputes, and claims brought by injured plaintiffs.
Charles Ault-Duell served as president of the Saline-Ottawa County Bar Association from 2017 to 2018. He has also served on the Kansas Wesleyan University Board of Trustees since 2016. His professional work combines trial and appellate experience with a focus on the legal concerns of families and children. He brings that background to custody and financial disputes that require careful attention to relationships, competing concerns, and the practical effects of a legal case.
