About
Gary Denning is an attorney with his own law office in Salina, Kansas. His current practice focuses on uncontested family matters and Family Law settlement conferences. Gary assists with agreed divorces, child custody cases, parenting plans, and child support orders. He also handles guardianships and conservatorships for minors and adults with disabilities, Guardian Ad Litem appointments, and appointments as attorney for adults with disabilities.
Gary earned a BA from The University of Kansas before attending law school at the same university. He received his J.D. in 1979 and was admitted to practice in Kansas that year. His career includes service as Salina City Prosecutor from 1984 to 1994. That public role forms part of a legal background developed through decades of work in central Kansas.
Gary has represented parties in divorce and custody cases and served as Guardian Ad Litem for children in dozens of central Kansas matters. His family law experience also includes former service on the Kansas Bar Association’s Family Law Section Directors. He now accepts matters where the parties agree to a settlement and need assistance documenting their agreement. He no longer takes contested cases.
Gary Denning has been elected to the Salina USD 305 School Board four times. His community service includes governing board roles with Ashby House, DVACK, and the Salina Parks and Recreation Commission. He also helped develop 305 Live, a music celebration hosted by the Salina Education Foundation. These education and community roles accompany a legal career serving individuals, families, and children in central Kansas.
