Charles A. Larson

Charles A. Larson is a partner at Boyce Law Firm in Sioux Falls whose practice is centered on workers’ compensation and related litigation. Charlie has devoted his practice to workers’ compensation since 2005 and has represented dozens of insurers and hundreds of employers. He also assists injured workers and handles matters involving employment law, appeals, insurance, construction, professional malpractice, personal injury, and other civil disputes.

Charlie attended Southwest Minnesota State University for his undergraduate education and then attended the University of Nebraska School of Law. His legal training provided the foundation for a practice that regularly involves administrative claims, evidentiary issues, hearings, appeals, and risk analysis. Over years of focused workers’ compensation work, that education has been reinforced by extensive courtroom experience and close familiarity with South Dakota claim procedures.

Charlie has represented hundreds of employers and has taken numerous workers’ compensation matters to hearing. His appellate experience includes more than a dozen South Dakota Supreme Court rulings and several written opinions involving compensation disputes. He also counsels clients on when settlement may reduce litigation risk and exposure, combining a readiness to try claims with practical evaluation of cost, uncertainty, and the client’s broader objectives.
