Attorney Charlean Leann Cooper is a driven and empathetic family law attorney known for guiding Florida families through some of life’s most difficult transitions. Her legal career reflects a deep passion for advocacy, particularly in child welfare and family law matters. She is recognized for her strong courtroom presence, strategic litigation approach, and unwavering commitment to her clients’ well-being.

Charlean earned her Bachelor’s Degree in political science from Western Carolina University, graduating summa cum laude and as a member of the Honors College and Dean’s List. She later attended the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where she received her Juris Doctorate and earned the Outstanding Achievement Certificate for Pro Bono Work. During law school, she gained hands-on experience as a Legal Intern for the Florida Department of Children and Families and as a Certified Legal Intern with the Gator TeamChild Juvenile Law Clinic, further solidifying her dedication to children’s advocacy.

Charlean began her professional journey with the Department of Children and Families, Children’s Legal Services, where she served as both a Certified Legal Intern and later as an Associate Attorney. In this role, she represented the State of Florida in motion hearings, court dockets, and trials, developing an extensive foundation in litigation and advocacy. Her experience in child welfare cases gave her a unique understanding of the emotional and legal challenges families face in the courtroom.

Charlean Cooper continues to be a trusted advocate for Florida families, using her skill, compassion, and determination to achieve fair outcomes and make a meaningful difference in the lives of her clients. Charlean later transitioned into family law, where she applies her litigation experience to matters such as divorce, child custody, paternity, and child support. She approaches each case with empathy, professionalism, and precision, helping families navigate complex legal processes with confidence. Her membership in the Florida Bar, the Florida Family Law American Inn of Court, the Clay County Bar Association, and the Jacksonville Bar Association reflects her dedication to continuous growth in her field.
