Barbara Morton is an accomplished Illinois attorney with more than two decades of litigation experience across family law, real estate, estate planning, wills and trusts, traffic matters, and personal injury. She has tried over 30 jury trials and managed hundreds of arbitration hearings, bench trials, and contested motions, providing clients with seasoned, strategic advocacy.
Ms. Morton earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of Colorado in 1992, followed by an MBA in Finance and Accounting from Regis University in 1996. Ms. Morton later received her Juris Doctor from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 1998 and has been licensed to practice law in Illinois since 1999.
Before establishing her own firm, Ms. Morton served as an associate at several Illinois law practices, handling insurance defense, workers’ compensation, family law, real estate, wills and trusts, and general practice matters. This broad experience strengthened her ability to address a wide range of legal issues with precision and practical judgment.
Ms. Morton’s practice focuses on Divorce and Family Law, Criminal Law, DUI, Estate Planning, Real Estate Law, Wills and Trusts, and Civil Litigation. She is known for her thorough preparation, strong courtroom skills, and commitment to guiding clients through complex legal challenges with clarity and compassion.
Ms. Morton is admitted to practice in Illinois and is an active member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the Will County Bar Association. She has earned multiple professional distinctions, including recognition from the American Jurist Institute as a Top 10 Attorney (2018) and from the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys with the Client Satisfaction Award (2015–2019).
Barbara Morton’s dedication extends beyond the legal field. Passionate about animal welfare, she has rescued multiple cats since 2010 and remains committed to caring for animals in need.
