Cassondre K. Buteyn is a Lead Attorney at Wilson Law Group in Minneapolis, focusing exclusively on immigration law. With over 15 years of experience, she represents clients in family-based immigration, naturalization, removal defense, and humanitarian relief, including U visas and waivers of inadmissibility.
Cassondre earned her Juris Doctor cum laude from William Mitchell College of Law in 2005. She holds a Bachelor of Arts magna cum laude in International Business and Spanish from Drake University, where her passion for global connections began. Her studies in Sevilla, Spain, and early work with foreign exchange students solidified her dedication to immigration law.
Known for her success in helping clients obtain permanent residency through marriage-based waivers, Cassondre deeply understands the legal challenges faced by those who have lived in the U.S. without lawful status. Her approach is strategic and compassionate, aiming to deliver individualized and innovative solutions to each client’s case.
Cassondre K. Buteyn is admitted to the Minnesota Bar, the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. Her appellate experience includes significant cases such as Pavlovich v. Gonzales and Flores-Calderon v. Gonzalez. Cassondre is also an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and has served as a liaison and speaker on numerous CLE panels related to hardship waivers and DACA.
In addition to her legal practice, Cassondre contributes to the community through pro bono work with the Volunteer Lawyers Network and 360 Communities. She is fluent in Spanish and English and continues to advocate for immigrants with legal excellence and a heartfelt commitment to justice.
