Na Lan is a Director at Damon Key with a distinguished legal career spanning condominium and community association law, real estate, immigration, and commercial transactions. A native of China, she is fluent in Mandarin and English, making her a vital legal resource for international investors and Hawaii-based clients alike.
Ms. Lan earned her Juris Doctor cum laude from the University of Hawaiʻi’s William S. Richardson School of Law in 2009, along with a Pacific Asian Legal Studies Certificate. She holds a B.S. in Atmospheric Science with highest honors from Nanjing University of Information Science & Technology. Her education and early legal experiences, including work with the Hawaii Intermediate Court of Appeals and Legal Aid, formed a strong foundation in both litigation and public service.
Ms. Lan is recognized in Best Lawyers in America® 2025 for Business Organizations, Real Estate Law, and Community Association Law and has earned multiple “Rising Star” designations from Super Lawyers. Prior to joining Damon Key, she operated her own practice and served clients in immigration, business, and condominium matters.
Ms. Lan’s practice includes complex litigation and transactional work, such as contract disputes, construction defects, ADA compliance, foreclosures, and covenant enforcement. She regularly advises on business acquisitions, real estate transactions, and association governance. Her leadership includes serving as Chair of the HSBA International Law Section and active roles with the Community Associations Institute.
An influential speaker and writer, Ms. Lan contributes to legal publications, speaks at industry events, and previously co-hosted ThinkTech Hawaii’s “Condo Insider.” She also serves on Hawaii’s Real Estate Commission Ad Hoc Committee on Condominium Affairs. In 2023, she was appointed a lawyer delegate to the U.S. District Court Judicial Conference for Hawaii.
