Cassie Murphy

Cassie Murphy, Esq., is a partner and Certified Matrimonial Law Attorney at Paone Zaleski & Murphy, whose practice focuses on divorce, child custody, and family law. She represents clients in complex matrimonial disputes and is admitted in New Jersey, New York, and the District of Columbia. Her work encompasses custody, support, domestic violence, property issues, and other family law concerns. She became a partner in 2019 after developing substantial experience in matrimonial practice.

Ms. Murphy earned her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Maryland School of Law, where she served as Associate Editor of the Maryland Law Journal of Race, Religion, Gender and Class. She earned her bachelor’s degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Maryland and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. Her academic achievements reflect a strong foundation in legal research, writing, and analysis.

Ms. Murphy is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and serves on the Supreme Court of New Jersey Matrimonial Law Certification Committee. She is Vice Chair of the New Jersey State Bar Association Family Law Executive Committee for the 2026–2027 term. Her professional involvement extends to the NJSBA Amicus Committee and Monmouth County Family Law Committee. She regularly lectures on family law issues and serves as an Associate Editor of New Jersey Family Lawyer.

Cassie Murphy combines matrimonial litigation experience with extensive involvement in New Jersey’s family law community. She has written numerous articles addressing developments in family law and co-authored the second edition of Divorce in New Jersey. Her professional memberships include the Middlesex County, Monmouth County, and New Jersey State Bar associations. Her practice centers on helping clients address divorce, custody, support, and related family disputes through informed advocacy and case preparation.
