Cara L. Roberts

Cara L. Roberts concentrates her practice on civil litigation, with significant experience in areas such as personal injury, wrongful death, and commercial conflicts. She also provides appellate representation and has argued cases in both federal and state courts. Cara’s work has guided individuals and companies through complex legal challenges with skill and integrity.

Cara received her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies, graduating with honors from the University of Iowa in 2010. She went on to earn her Juris Doctor from the University of Iowa College of Law in 2014.

Cara began her legal profession as a judicial law clerk, supporting judges in handling both criminal and civil matters. She completed her clerkships in the Seventh Judicial District in Davenport and the First Judicial District in Waterloo. These roles provided her with in-depth courtroom exposure and strengthened her litigation foundation.

Cara is licensed to practice in all Iowa state courts, the Northern and Southern Districts of Iowa’s federal courts, and the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals. Her litigation experience includes notable reported cases, such as Roehr v. Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada and Moeller v. Samsung Electronics America, Inc. She is involved in various legal associations, including the Johnson County and Linn County Bar Associations, the Iowa Association for Justice, and the Dean Mason Ladd Inn of Court.
