C. Sean Stephens

Sean Stephens is the founding shareholder of OneTec Family Law, PC, a Portland-based law firm dedicated to delivering high-quality legal services in family law matters. With over 25 years of experience, Mr. Stephens focuses on helping clients navigate divorce, custody, and other family-related legal challenges using a blend of legal expertise and modern technology.

Mr. Stephens earned his B.S. in Psychology, with a minor in English Literature, from the University of Oregon in 1991. He went on to receive his J.D. from Willamette College of Law in Salem, Oregon, in 1994.

After starting his legal career in private practice, Mr. Stephens went on to co-found Stephens & Margolin LLP, where he focused exclusively on family law for 13 years. In 2021, after that firm dissolved, he launched OneTec Family Law, PC—a modern family law practice dedicated to exceptional legal representation, personalized client service, and the strategic use of technology to streamline cases, improve communication, and achieve better results for families.

Mr. Stephens is known for developing strategic, goal-oriented legal plans tailored to each client’s situation. He works closely with clients to identify objectives early and then builds a legal roadmap to achieve the best possible results. Whether guiding someone through a divorce, child custody dispute, or collaborative family law matter, Mr. Stephens emphasizes clear communication and personalized attention.

Sean Stephens is also the founder of the Oregon Divorce Blog, an educational resource that covers key topics in Oregon family law, including divorce procedures and collaborative law options.
