Brooks Alexander brings decades of experience in estate planning and business succession law, guiding clients through complex legal decisions with clarity and confidence. He is highly regarded for helping individuals and families secure long-term strategies for their estates and businesses.

Brooks received his undergraduate degree from the University of Kentucky and went on to earn his Juris Doctor from the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law. He is licensed to practice law in Kentucky and is a member of both the Kentucky and Louisville Bar Associations.

Brooks helps clients build comprehensive, modern estate plans, including customized wills, trusts, and tax-efficient asset distribution strategies. He also counsels business owners on business succession and ownership transfer, designing plans that protect business value, support long-term growth, and stay aligned with family and organizational goals.

Brooks previously worked as a Certified Public Accountant and tax specialist with the international accounting firm Coopers & Lybrand. His accounting background provides valuable insight into the financial and tax implications of estate and succession matters, enhancing the depth of his legal counsel.

Brooks has been recognized with the AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell and has been named a top lawyer by Louisville Magazine in the fields of trusts, wills, and estates. He is an active member of the Estate Planning Council of Louisville and a frequent speaker at estate planning seminars.

Brooks Alexander has also contributed his leadership to several community and legal organizations, including the boards of the Louisville Bar Foundation, the Home of the Innocents, the Widowed Persons Service, and the Anchorage Public Education Foundation. His military service includes time as an Advisor to a South Vietnamese Junk Force Group.
