Brian S. Eppes is a highly experienced criminal defense attorney based in Fort Worth, Texas. He is known for his dynamic career spanning prosecution, legislative advocacy, and private legal practice. With a criminal law and policy foundation, Brian brings a strategic, results-oriented approach to defending individuals facing criminal charges throughout Tarrant County and the surrounding areas.

Brian began his legal journey after earning his Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law in 2005, where he was awarded the Dean’s Merit Scholarship. Prior to that, he completed a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Texas A&M University in 2002, establishing a strong base in legal and governmental studies.

Brian began his legal career in private practice at a boutique tax and estate planning firm in Fort Worth, where he built a strong foundation in complex financial and estate matters. Driven by a commitment to public service, he next served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office, gaining extensive, hands-on courtroom experience. Over the course of prosecuting a broad range of felony and misdemeanor cases, Brian honed his trial and litigation skills and earned a reputation for integrity, strategic advocacy, and consistent results in the courtroom.

In addition to his prosecutorial work, Brian served as the Legislative Liaison for the District Attorney’s Office, where he collaborated with lawmakers and helped draft criminal justice legislation. His insight into how laws are shaped and implemented has become a key asset in building informed, strategic defenses for his clients. He has presented extensively to attorneys across Texas on legal and legislative issues.

Now in private practice, Brian Eppes focuses exclusively on criminal defense. His career reflects a deep understanding of Texas criminal law from both sides—prosecution and defense, making him a trusted advocate for individuals facing serious legal challenges. From misdemeanor charges to complex felonies, Brian provides comprehensive and personalized legal representation rooted in years of courtroom and legislative experience.
