Brian Panish

Brian Panish is a nationally renowned trial lawyer and founding partner at Panish | Shea | Ravipudi LLP. Known for his courtroom expertise in catastrophic injury, wrongful death, and product liability litigation, Mr. Panish has achieved some of the largest jury verdicts in American history. His groundbreaking $4.9 billion win in Anderson v. General Motors set a record in products liability, and he has since obtained over 100 verdicts and settlements exceeding $10 million, including seven over $50 million. With more than 500 successful results over $1 million, he is consistently trusted to lead high-stakes cases nationwide.

Mr. Panish earned his B.S. from California State University, Fresno, where he was honored as a Scholar Athlete and received the Athletic Director’s Award. He obtained his J.D., with honors, from Southwestern Law School and was later awarded an Honorary Doctor of Laws from the same institution.

Mr. Panish has served in top leadership roles in numerous mass torts, fire cases, and aviation and transportation disasters. He was Co-Lead Counsel in the Southern California Gas Leak litigation, which resulted in a $1.8 billion settlement. He has also led or served on executive committees in major cases like the North Bay Fires, the Asiana Airlines Crash, the DePuy Hip Implant, and the Porter Ranch litigation. His advocacy has secured hundreds of millions for victims of negligence, corporate misconduct, and public disasters.
