K. Lawson Wellington

Lawson Wellington is an experienced attorney representing clients in Washington, D.C., and Maryland in matters involving DUI defense, criminal charges, personal injury, and family law. Known for his passionate advocacy and deep courtroom experience, Mr. Wellington has built a reputation for protecting his clients’ rights and navigating them through complex legal challenges. Mr. Wellington earned his J.D. from Howard University School of Law in 1995. He also holds a B.A. in Sociology with a minor in English Literature from Howard University, completed in 1992.

He formerly served as a partner at Williams and Wellington, a general practice law firm based in Washington, D.C., where he represented clients in a broad range of legal matters. Over the years, he has gained significant courtroom and trial experience, advocating for clients in DUI cases, family disputes, injury claims, and criminal defense proceedings.

Mr. Wellington is licensed to practice law in Maryland, including the Maryland Court of Appeals and all lower state courts, as well as in Washington, D.C., including the District of Columbia Court of Appeals and its lower courts.
