Brian J. Richardson

Brian J. Richardson is a litigation attorney at Leo Law Firm, LLC with extensive experience in construction law, business disputes, and commercial transactions. He represents clients locally and nationally in matters involving contract disputes, employment issues, government contracts, and commercial collections. Brian’s practical legal insight is informed by years of experience as both outside counsel and in-house corporate counsel.

Brian earned both his B.B.A. and J.D. from the University of Alabama and is licensed to practice in Alabama and Florida. He began his legal career in Orlando, representing Fortune 100 and 500 companies in product liability and high-exposure litigation. His clients included automotive, medical device, and equipment manufacturers, as well as major theme parks.

After returning to North Alabama in 2008, Brian handled complex litigation at a leading regional law firm before moving into an in-house counsel role with a Huntsville business group. In this position, he managed a wide range of corporate legal needs, including negotiating vendor and customer contracts, drafting and reviewing real estate documents, preparing employment agreements, and overseeing litigation and landlord–tenant disputes.

Since joining Leo Law Firm, LLC in 2018, Brian J. Richardson has focused on litigation and advisory services for the firm’s corporate and construction clients. He regularly negotiates and drafts supplier, customer, and vendor agreements, particularly for national building materials suppliers. With a deep understanding of both the courtroom and the business environment, Brian helps clients manage legal risks while supporting their operational goals. His blend of litigation experience and in-house business knowledge makes him a valuable legal partner across industries.
