Brian Eutermoser is a seasoned trial lawyer who concentrates on patent disputes and complex commercial litigation. Brian represents clients in state and federal courts as well as before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. His practice often involves high-stakes matters where clients seek injunctive relief and face potential damages reaching hundreds of millions of dollars.
Brian earned his B.S. in Mathematics and Physics-Engineering from Washington and Lee University. He later received his J.D. from New York University School of Law. His academic training in mathematics and engineering, combined with his legal education, built a strong foundation for handling technically complex patent and intellectual property disputes across multiple industries.
Brian regularly serves as trial counsel in significant patent cases. He represented Motorola Mobility in St. Lawrence Communications v. Motorola Mobility in the Eastern District of Texas, a matter involving speech coders used in cellular communications. He also acted as counsel for Palo Alto Networks in Finjan v. Palo Alto Networks before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, handling inter partes review proceedings tied to malware detection software.
Brian has also played a key role in large-scale commercial disputes. In Medline Industries v. C.R. Bard in the Northern District of Illinois, he served as litigation counsel in multiple district court actions involving urology products and procedures. His experience includes managing complex evidence, coordinating expert testimony, and guiding strategy in cases with substantial financial exposure.
