Brian C. Bosma

Brian C. Bosma is a partner at Kroger, Gardis & Regas, LLP in Indianapolis and chairs the firm’s Government Practice Group. His practice focuses on complex business and municipal transactions, municipal finance, environmental law, construction, and real estate. Brian serves as general or special counsel to municipalities, boards, and business entities throughout Indiana. Drawing on his backgrounds in engineering, business, and government, he advises both public and private clients on significant development and regulatory matters.

Brian earned his J.D. from Indiana University School of Law in Indianapolis in 1984, where he served as an associate editor of the Indiana Law Review. He received his B.S. in Engineering from Purdue University in 1981. He was admitted to the Indiana Bar in 1984 and is also admitted to practice in federal court. His engineering and legal education provide a practical foundation for advising clients on infrastructure, construction, environmental, utility, and economic development projects.

Brian has served as lead counsel on more than 100 public and economic development projects, ranging from smaller facilities to major convention centers and public-private utility projects. He represents clients in real estate and construction projects, public-sector joint ventures, municipal finance matters, and utility and regulatory proceedings. He regularly appears before local utility boards and the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission and is recognized for his work as bond counsel.

Brian C. Bosma served in the Indiana House of Representatives from 1986 through 2020 and became the longest-tenured Speaker of the House in Indiana history. His professional recognition includes Best Lawyers honors, Indiana Super Lawyers selections, and the 2023 Best Lawyers Lawyer of the Year designation. He is also a founding director of Bosma Industries for the Blind and chairs the Bosma Visionary Opportunities Foundation.
