Brett W. Bureau is a passionate criminal defense attorney dedicated to protecting the rights of the accused throughout Wisconsin. Brett began his academic path by earning a Bachelor’s degree in accounting from Marquette University in 2021. He continued at Marquette to complete his MBA in 2022, demonstrating both analytical and strategic thinking. His focus then shifted to law, and he earned his Juris Doctor from Marquette University Law School in 2023.

Brett sharpened his advocacy skills in law school through hands-on experience and leadership. He interned with the State Public Defender’s Office and worked directly with Wisconsin Appellate Judge Shelley Grogan, gaining practical courtroom and appellate experience. At Marquette Law School’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Clinic, Brett also stepped into a leadership role, helping drive key initiatives and enhance the clinic’s impact.

Brett holds certifications in negotiation, mediation, and arbitration, backed by his training in Alternative Dispute Resolution. This background equips him to resolve challenging legal matters with a calm, thoughtful approach focused on his clients’ best interests. His skills enhance his effectiveness both in court and in settlement discussions.
