Bob Allen, P.C., is a partner in Kirkland & Ellis LLP’s Litigation and Government, Regulatory & Internal Investigations groups. He represents corporations and individuals in criminal and regulatory investigations, as well as high-stakes litigation, achieving favorable results in cases involving securities fraud, market manipulation, and complex enforcement actions.
Bob earned his J.D. magna cum laude from Harvard Law School, where he served as President of the Harvard Law Review and was awarded the Sears Prize for highest first-year grades. He also earned a B.A. in Economics and Political Science, with Highest Honors, from Emory University, where he received the Jack and Lewis Greenhut Award for best economics thesis.
Earlier in his career, Bob served as a federal prosecutor in the Southern District of New York’s Securities and Commodities Fraud Taskforce. He prosecuted high-profile insider trading, bribery, and accounting fraud cases, securing convictions in every trial and arguing multiple successful appeals before the Second Circuit.
In private practice, Bob has represented Fortune 50 executives, major financial institutions, and multinational corporations in DOJ, SEC, and foreign regulatory investigations. His matters span cryptocurrency enforcement, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act cases, market manipulation disputes, and large-scale civil litigation involving antitrust and contract issues.
