Judge Bill Henry brings over three decades of experience helping clients handle complex legal matters across Texas. With a strong foundation in both courtroom litigation and out-of-court mediation, he focuses on areas such as real estate, personal injury, family law, and commercial disputes. His background as a judge gives him a unique perspective on case strategy and resolution.

Henry earned his undergraduate degree from Baylor University before completing his Juris Doctor at Baylor University School of Law. He is board certified in both Civil Trial Law and Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. His legal knowledge is strengthened by specialized training in mediation and arbitration from the National Judicial College and the Mediators and Arbitrators of America.

Before becoming a judge, Henry worked in several respected legal roles, including assistant attorney general for the State of Texas and assistant district attorney for Hays County. He was also a partner at Jones and Henry in Austin. From 2005 to 2018, he served as district judge for the 428th District Court in Hays County, overseeing more than 220 jury trials and hundreds of hearings.

Today, Henry applies his deep legal understanding to guide individuals and businesses through challenging legal disputes. His services include mediation, arbitration, and acting as a private judge. He is known for crafting effective strategies that bring resolution in a practical and timely manner.

Henry’s professional memberships include the Texas Bar Association, American Board of Trial Advocates, and the American Inns of Court, where he holds the title of Master of the Bench. He has also taught trial skills at the University of Texas Law School and contributed to the Bench Book for Texas Judges.
