Betsy C. Cox

Betsy C. Cox is a seasoned attorney focused on complex commercial, bankruptcy, and fiduciary litigation. She represents clients in matters such as enforcing real estate and commercial loans, defending lender liability claims, and guiding loan workouts. Her practice also extends to business torts, contract disputes, and real estate litigation.

Betsy earned her B.A. summa cum laude from The University of the South in 1977 and received her J.D. cum laude from the University of Georgia School of Law in 1980. A member of Phi Beta Kappa, Betsy maintains high academic and ethical standards and has earned a strong professional reputation.

Betsy regularly works with secured and unsecured creditors across all bankruptcy chapters, including Chapters 7, 11, 12, and 13. She represents creditors’ committees in Chapter 11 cases and is skilled in adversary proceedings and bankruptcy appeals. Her experience includes litigation involving trusts, probate, and guardianship matters.
