About

Benny Agosto, Jr. is the managing partner at Abraham, Watkins, Nichols, Agosto, Aziz & Stogner, Texas’s oldest plaintiff’s personal injury law firm. He specializes in catastrophic injury cases involving chemical plant explosions, workplace incidents, product liability, and wrongful death. Known for his leadership in high-stakes litigation, Benny is a trusted advocate for those harmed by negligence.

After earning his J.D. from South Texas College of Law Houston, Benny excelled in mock trial and academic performance. He ultimately became board-certified in personal injury trial law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. His expertise and trial experience have secured significant verdicts and settlements throughout Texas.

Benny served as President of the Houston Bar Association (2019–2020), where he launched major initiatives promoting diversity, wellness, and inclusivity. He also held the presidency of the Hispanic National Bar Association (2011–2012), where he elevated national discourse on equity, education, and legal access for underrepresented communities.

Among his career highlights is a landmark pro bono victory in Hinojosa v. Harris County, which led to a rewrite of Texas law to protect off-duty officers assisting in emergencies. His work resulted in a million-dollar benefit for the client and broader protections for public servants statewide.

Benny Agosto, Jr., is a co-founder of the MABATx Foundation and the HNBA Legal Education Fund, which provide scholarships and mentorship for minority law students. He is also a frequent speaker on civil litigation and constitutional rights, helping educate communities and fellow attorneys alike.

Benny has received numerous accolades, including 20-year recognition from Texas Super Lawyers, “Lawyer of the Year” for Product Liability (2023), and the Ohtli Award. His career is marked by an unwavering commitment to justice, community engagement, and legal excellence.
