About
Benjamin Older is a founding partner at Older Lundy Koch & Martino, Attorneys at Law, and focuses his practice exclusively on family law and related matters. His work includes divorce, paternity, domestic violence, child timesharing, alimony, child support, and division of assets. He handles straightforward disputes as well as cases involving hidden assets, business valuations, income reporting, child abuse, psychological evaluations, and substance abuse. His practice includes prosecuting and defending Marchman Act cases involving substance abuse and dependence. These matters can require attention to treatment needs, family dynamics, and legal protections surrounding involuntary assessment and stabilization.
Mr. Older earned a J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law. He received a B.A. from the University of Southern California. His legal education supports a practice centered on family law, dispute resolution, and matters involving complex personal and financial issues.
Mr. Older was among the first lawyers in the Tampa Bay area trained in Collaborative Divorce. He uses alternative dispute resolution when it fits the circumstances, while remaining prepared to litigate when negotiations fail. He is a member of The Florida Bar and the Hillsborough County Bar Association. His professional service has included the Florida Bar Grievance Committee, the Hillsborough County Family Law Bench Bar Committee, and the Hillsborough County Family Law Executive Counsel. He has served as chairman of the Florida Bar Grievance Committee and as elected Community Outreach Chair.
Benjamin Older brings extensive family law experience to cases involving difficult financial, parenting, and substance-related concerns. He serves on the Board of the Friends of Joshua House Foundation and previously served on organizations including the Child Abuse Council, Health Care Connection Foundation, and National Council on Addiction and Drug Dependence. His practice remains focused on family law and Marchman Act matters, combining settlement strategies with courtroom advocacy when disputes require litigation.
