Benjamin Leedy

Benjamin Leedy is a shareholder in Stoll Berne’s real estate and business group in Portland. His practice focuses on commercial real estate acquisitions and dispositions, real estate finance, leasing, and development. He regularly advises clients on purchase and sale transactions, office, retail, and industrial leases, and secured lending transactions. His work centers on structuring real estate and business matters carefully so clients can complete transactions, allocate risk, and address financing, leasing, and development issues with clear documentation.

Benjamin earned a J.D., cum laude, from Northwestern School of Law, Lewis & Clark College, where he received the Dean’s Fellowship for Excellence, was a Business Law Roundtable Scholar, and earned a Certificate in General Business Law. He received a B.A., magna cum laude, from the University of Portland. He has been a member of the Oregon State Bar since 2005, grounding his transactional practice in long-standing Oregon real estate and business experience.

Benjamin previously practiced at Holland & Knight LLP and Samuels Yoelin Kantor LLP before joining Stoll Berne, where he became a shareholder in 2017. His professional work includes commercial purchase and sale agreements, office leasing, mixed-use development easement issues, secured lending, and broader real estate transactions. He co-authored a chapter on commercial purchase and sale agreements for the Oregon Real Estate Deskbook and has presented on office leasing, commercial leases, and development-related easements.

Benjamin Leedy has received recognition from Oregon Super Lawyers as a Rising Star and from The Best Lawyers in America. He has served on the Oregon State Bar Real Estate and Land Use Section Education Committee and has participated in Urban Land Institute Northwest leadership.
