Ben Davis

Ben Davis is a highly respected trial attorney and co-founder of the Davis Kelin Law Firm, where his practice focuses on complex personal injury, legal malpractice, and insurance bad faith litigation. With extensive trial experience and a strategic approach to high-stakes cases, he has successfully represented clients across New Mexico in some of the state’s most significant legal matters.

Ben earned his Juris Doctor from Baylor Law School in Texas, graduating in the top 20% of his class. While there, he gained practical experience clerking for a Federal Magistrate Judge and trained extensively through Baylor’s nationally recognized practice court program, which emphasizes real-world trial skills and litigation readiness.

Ben began his legal career at a boutique litigation firm where he represented major national corporations. His early years involved defending Fortune 50 companies in complex litigation, sharpening his litigation skills, and gaining a deep understanding of the defense strategies employed by large institutions.

Motivated by a commitment to advocate for individuals rather than corporations, Ben founded his own firm, which focuses on representing victims of negligence and misconduct. In just the first year, he gained statewide attention for a legal malpractice case that resulted in a substantial settlement and the client’s release from prison.

At Davis Kelin Law Firm, Ben has continued to lead major litigation efforts. His work includes record-setting jury verdicts, including the most significant insurance bad faith verdict in New Mexico history. His legal victories have been featured in national and local media, and his cases have contributed to the development of state law.

Ben Davis serves on the Board of Directors of the New Mexico Trial Lawyers Association and the State Bar’s Professional Liability and Insurance Committee. He is also an active member of the American Association for Justice Leaders’ Forum.
