Arlene earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Northwestern State University, graduating magna cum laude. During law school, Arlene was selected to clerk for the Honorable Sidney S. Eagles, Jr., Chief Judge of the North Carolina Court of Appeals. She also volunteered and worked with the Franklin County Guardian ad Litem program, gaining early, hands-on experience advocating for vulnerable individuals within the legal system.
After graduating from law school, Arlene practiced with the Rosen Law Firm in Raleigh before opening her own firm in Wake Forest in 2002. She has extensive trial experience in family law, personal injury, and civil litigation, and has trained with nationally recognized attorneys, including Gerry Spence and Howard Nations.
Arlene Colon is admitted to practice before all North Carolina state courts, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.
