Anna Fero

Anna Fero is an environmental lawyer and associate in the energy group at Davis Wright Tremaine LLP in San Francisco. Her practice addresses federal and state energy policy, regulatory compliance, litigation, and transactions. She represents regulated businesses, developers, energy producers, and other industry stakeholders. Much of her work involves proceedings before the California Public Utilities Commission, helping clients respond to changes affecting energy operations and investment decisions.

Fero earned a J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law in 2017, receiving the Dean’s Scholarship and Environmental Law Scholarship. She completed a Leaders in Sustainability Graduate Certificate at UCLA in the same year. She also earned a B.A. from the University of Washington in 2011, graduating cum laude and receiving Phi Beta Kappa recognition. This education supports her regulatory and environmental work.

Fero advises participants in rulemaking and ratemaking proceedings, agency applications, approvals, contracts, and energy disputes. Her clients include offshore wind, solar, battery, geothermal, natural gas, and fuel cell businesses, along with utilities, tribal governments, technology companies, and investors. She has also worked with entities regulated in transportation and telecommunications. Earlier positions included energy and environmental work at Paul Hastings and internships with the California Energy Commission and Natural Resources Defense Council.

Anna Fero has been recognized in the Best Lawyers Ones to Watch category for Energy Law. She has participated in Young Professionals in Energy and the Clean Energy Leadership Institute. Her work brings together regulatory interpretation, agency advocacy, and commercial planning.
