Angelo J. Genova

Angelo J. Genova is Co-Founder and Chairman of Genova Burns LLC, recognized for decades of precedent-setting legal work in business and employment litigation, appellate advocacy, and election law. He has appeared before courts at every level, including the New Jersey Supreme Court and the U.S. Supreme Court. Known for his preparation and strategic advocacy, he has guided individuals, businesses, and political entities through high-stakes disputes with professionalism, diligence, and an unwavering focus on achieving favorable outcomes.

Mr. Genova earned his J.D. from Rutgers Law School in 1978, his M.A. in Industrial & Labor Relations from Rutgers University in 1978, and his B.A., cum laude, from Montclair State University in 1975. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, several U.S. District Courts, the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Second and Third Circuits, and the U.S. Supreme Court, allowing him to represent clients at every judicial level.

Mr. Genova’s career includes landmark work in business disputes, labor negotiations, and election law controversies. He has represented executives, corporations, and political candidates at every level, including Governor, U.S. Senate, and President. His work spans campaign finance, voter eligibility, recounts, government contracts, and procurement challenges. With extensive experience in collective bargaining and workplace law, he has also handled class actions, discrimination claims, and negotiated precedent-setting agreements on behalf of public and private employers.

In addition to trial practice, Angelo J. Genova has held leadership roles in legal organizations and community institutions. He is a Fellow of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers and the American Bar Foundation, and has served on numerous bar committees. His recognitions include listings in Best Lawyers and Chambers USA. With decades of precedent-setting representation, he remains one of the most respected trial advocates in New Jersey and beyond.
